About Us

Lyle Cates Harvey, M.Ac.O.M, L.Ac. is a native of Atlanta, GA. During her time at Wellesley College, she lived abroad in Beijing, China to study Mandarin Chinese and became interested in Asian healing traditions. Lyle attended the Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine and received a Masters of Science in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. She was trained in Chinese and Japanese styles of acupuncture, herbal medicine, Tuina orthopedic massage as well as nutritional counseling. She spent three years as an intern in Dr. Kerong Xie’s clinic, a well-known Chinese medicine doctor’s clinic in Seattle specializing in fertility and women’s health.

Lyle has completed DONA training as a Birth Doula in addition to specialized training in using acupuncture in labor and delivery to ease pain and prevent complications. Her special interest is women’s health, fertility, pregnancy and post-partum care, but she welcomes all to her clinic and finds joy in helping people from all walks of life find wellness and balance.

Lyle is certified in Oriental Medicine by the National Commission for the Certification of Acupuncturists and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) and is licensed by the Tennessee Board of Medical Examiners as an Acupuncturist.

Anya Snyder, MSN, PMHNP-BC Anya Snyder, MSN, PMHNP-BC

Anya Snyder, completed her Bachelor of Arts at The Evergreen State College, where she majored in women’s studies and creative writing. Theory and practice within both fields furthered her interest in women’s mental health and healing during the childbearing years. At Evergreen, she founded and facilitated an eating disorder support group. Belief in creative arts and peer/support groups as powerful healing tools continues to influence her counseling style.

After completing her training as a labor and postpartum doula and childbirth educator at the Seattle Midwifery School, Anya served as a doula and CBE at the Teen Pregnancy and Parenting Clinic in Seattle, WA. Her experiences here lead her to seek additional training in trauma and childbirth.

Anya received her Masters of Science in Nursing from Vanderbilt University in 2012. She is board certified as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. During her time at Vanderbilt, she trained at The Vanderbilt Women’s Mental Health Clinic and in a private infertility counseling practice. Anya enjoys working with individuals and couples of all backgrounds on issues such as prenatal and postpartum adjustment, pregnancy loss, traumatic childbirth, parenting challenges, eating disorders, and infertility and family building.

Anya continues to engage in education and advocacy, this year by presenting at the National Eating Disorder Association Conference on interdisciplinary prenatal care for women affected by eating disorders.

Holly Macias, MSTOM, L.Ac

Holly is a Nationally Board Certified Acupuncturist and Herbalist. She is a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM) as certified by the National Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) in Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine and is licensed by the state of Tennessee. She received her Master’s Degree of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine (MSTOM) from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) and studied at the San Diego and Chicago campuses and also completed training in Tokyo, Japan.

Holly’s gentle yet effective needling style is ideal for treating anything from the common cold to long standing chronic conditions and can help to soothe the everyday stressors of modern life. She specializes in Women’s Health and is passionate about working with women in all stages of life, but has a particular interest in fertility- including IUI and IVF support- and prenatal and postnatal care. Holly has completed extra training in obstetrics, male and female infertility, pediatrics and Traditional Japanese Meridian Therapy (JMT). JMT is a specialized style of acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine that was developed in Japan. JMT employs a unified consideration of the patient’s mind, body and lifestyle in order to come up with the most effective treatment for each patient. Holly also uses the very gentle needling techniques of JMT, which is especially suited for treating sensitive patients, pregnant women, children, pain disorders, those with complex health issues, and those that simply feel run down from the ins and outs of daily life.

Born and raised in Chicago, IL, Holly, is excited to now call Nashville home and thrilled to be practicing at The Nesting Place. She is dedicated to helping her patients find balance and harmony with Traditional Chinese Medicine.
